I was wondering if there is any way to do this:

I have 2 macros that import an individual excel file into
the same table.  I want to be able to differentiate between
which excel file the record came from.

What I thought I could do is to create 2 columns in the
table that had a checkbox and if it came from excel file 1
then the checkbox 1 would be checked.  Likewise for excel
file 2.

Is there a way to do this while importing?  Or is there
another way without having to run a query after each
import?  The reason I don't want to use queries is because
I have to do this with about 20 excel files.

Any help is much appreciated!

You could include one more field in the excel tables to
indicate the souce of the information in access. for
example in the first table all the record has "1" in the
field "new" and in the second "2". When you import this
records they are automatically differentiated by "1"
and "2"

If you want more assistant you could send message to
