Data From Excel to Acess

When I import data from Excel to Access I can do this to a new table. No problem will sto

However, the option to import data from Excel to an existing table is always greyed out

What my doing wrong?

in testing an Excel import in A2003 (A2000 format db), i found that if you
do not checkmark the box next to "First Row Contains Column Headings" on the
second "page" of the Import Wizard, then the Existing Table option is indeed
greyed out. if you go back and checkmark that box, however, the option
becomes available.

Hi David,

If you want to import to an existing table, the first row of the range
in Excel must contain the field names and you must select this option in
the Spreadsheet Import Wizard.
