I have created an ODBC link to a Maximizer Table, when I
then try to select the table through File - Get External
Data-Link Tables-ODBC databases as list of available
tables appear, I select one then click Ok I then get an
Access Error Message "Invalid Argument" dialog box The
help button does not work, when clicked. The funny thing
is that I can repeat this procedure in Excel and the ODBC
Driver works!!! Can anyone come back to me with a solution
if possible.

Try it from some different PCs with various versions of Access (if you have
some.)
I vaguely recall seeing that error in the distant past but not sure how to
resolve it.
You can also search MSKB for info on that error.
