Hello, I am slowly learning.

I have a query that I am trying to export as a fixed length, text formatted
*txt file. I am looking at the Export Specifications and have entered the
desired lengths of the fields as follows. The fields have to be 11, 50 , 50,
50, 50 etc.

Field A  Start 1   Width 11
Field B  Start 12  Width 62
Field C  Start 63   Width 113

When I try to "save as" I get this message: Field 'C' overlaps with previous
field 'B'. B doesnt appear to be overlapping with A so why is C overlapping
B? What am I missing?  Thanks

I got it. The Width is the actual character width like 11, 50, 50, 50 etc.
not a range.  Thanks anyway!
