I have a database, and each month have to import from an excel sheet (set up
specifically for the import) into a table in Access.  Have had no problems
until this month and now I get "Active X cannot create object" and then the
import cancels out.
Any suggestions?

Was Office 2003 Service Pack 3 installed between the last successful
import and the first unsuccessful one?

Can you import data from other Excel workbooks?

No, I have not installed SP3. And no I have now found that I cannot do much
of anything. No matter what I try, linked tables, import export, I get the
same error.

actually the exact error is "ActiveX component cannot create object"
I did a repair on my office...which did not fix it...and I also did an
uninstall and reinstall...which did not fix it.

thank you, I had searched for that article, but never found it, must have
been in the wrong MS area.
I had compressed my old files and it compressed the DAO360.dll file.  That
was the problem....it is resolved, thank you very much

I'm glad that was the answer. It took me a while to find it.
