Access's facilities for storing and processing data are fundamentally
different from Excel's, so for anything more than the simplest
worksheet, "transferring the whole thing" is a complicated business.

But it is usually easy to import data from Excel to Access by using the
latter's File|Get External Data|Import menu command. Just about
everything else will have to be re-created using Access's own tools, and
database concepts rather than spreadsheet ones.
