I am looking to transfer one record at a time out of access in to a word
template (fax template).  I would like to be able to do this by pressing only
one button on the form - how do I do this?

Dear John,

This is a great little program and it is "nearly" working but for some
reason it cannot find the template I have created.  You do mean to create a
.dot template don't you?  I am putting it in the same location as the
database is filed, is there maybe a way to browse for the template so that
access can find it?

Thank you,

Gwen

Sorry, I think I should have given you more information.  The error I get
when I try to create a template is as folows:

Run-time error '5174'
This file could not be found
Try one or more of the following:
Check spelling of the name of the document
Try a different file name

I have already checked that Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object library is set in the
references window.

Argh.....so close yet so far!

Cheers,

Gwen

Apologies John,  I was having a blonde moment and since I am blonde, I have a
fair few.  I have now got this to work - it really is cool!

Is there any way I can add a calculated field in to this merge document too?

Kind Regards,

Gwen

Hi Gwen,

Probably the thing to do is to create a query containing the calculated
field.
