I have an application that has an access front end and a SQL backend.  It is
using linked tables to access all data.

It was in Access 2000 but the client got all new computers and decided to
upgrade to Access 2003 in the process.

All went fine with the upgrade.  Programs work just fine.  However, the
search speed is SIGNIFICANTLY slower in Access 2003.  I am searching based on
the primary key in the table. There are < 30,000 records in the table.  In
access 2000 the searches were virtually instantaneous.  In access 2003, some
of the searches are taking as long as 8-10 seconds to find a record.

It is slow on the form and if you just open up the linked table.

I am using all the Access 2003 reference libraries as far as I know.  I have
never experienced this significant of a slow down with an "upgrade".  Any
ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help.
