Hi,
Have a problem with the digital signed thing for Access 2003 Developer. When
I start the program I only get this error message "cannot open C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\ADE11\WZADE.MDE" due to security restrictions.

Security settings restrict access to the file because it is not digitally
signed. How do I do that? When I look in Access and under Tools - Macro -
Security - Trusted Publishers and look at Microsoft it expires 2003-11-25. Do
I have to uptain a new certificate or what?

Thanks in advance

Did you purchase a certificate of your own and did you sign your app with
it?  Your post isn't very clear on that point.

Well, I have the same problem as Tobbe. I just got my subscription
of MSDN and did install the ADE from the DVD and now when I try to
open any of the standard applications (About ADE, Custom Strtup Wizard or
Package Wizard) from the program group I get this same error message.

Any ideas?

There is an OS update that installs new Root certificates...it may be that
you need that.

Thanks Paul,

I managed to get the applications up and running by first opening Access
and setting macro security settings from "medium" to "low".  However as
access displays that (Tools->Macro->Security->Trusted Publishers) Microsoft
Corporation cert has expired 11.25.2003 I propably need the new OS Root
cert. I just do not know how? The Windows Update says my XP Pro is up to
date and does not point me to any missing patches. How do find and install
the update that you mentioned?

It is an optional update...it isn't under Critical.  So, you'd have to use
the custom install option and select it yourself.
