When re-installing the runtime version I am experiencing a problem: I receive a message/box "Version Conflict" - "A file being copied is not newer than the file currently on your system. It is recommended that you keep your existing file.
E.g. when making a file today and then a new one later the box appears when installing the new file (which means the user will also get the box when installing the final application - in my opinion this will only confuse the user)
Is it possible to do something in order to avoid this message box? If not, is it then possible to gain access to the box in order to write something in the fields "Description" and "Your version?"
I have Office XP developer
Look forward to hearing from you
Your using the Package and Deployment Wizard?
I had a similar problem with that and could not get around it since it was
built into the installation process created.
I have since moved to using the Wise Installation System
(http://www.wisesolutions.com) where I can
manually specify exactly what to do with each file. Note to install Access
2002 runtime with
Wise I had to purchase scripts from www.sagekey.com. Expensive but very very
good.
