Has anyone had any success installing the runtime update to a computer that does not have Office XP installed?

When I try to install the update it prompts me for the Office XP CD.

The reason I am using the runtime is because my clients are not running Office XP and therefore do not have the XP CD

???? you didn't use to apply the runtime update to a
runtime machine: you applied it to the development PC,
so that any builds were correct.  (you see that I haven't
looked at the current version....)

After you have applied the update, do a new project
(call it MyAPP Runtime Update 1), and send it to your
clients so that they can install it.  (the new project
doesn't need to include anything other than the runtime
files)

The update must be applied to the client machine, not the development machine
(runtime deployments use files from the runtime folder, not the files that are
updated through the update). There is an apparent error in KB article 813617
(and evidently the install script) and I suspect that you need only click on
"OK" when prompted for the Office XP CD and the install should complete without
the CD. Post back if this does not appear to be the case.
