Simple Access Developer Extensions 2003 Question

Silly as it may seem, I have been unable to figure out how to actually
start the ADE for 2003. I have installed the proper CD, all the
prerequisites, and the appropriate SPs. I can see that the wzade.mde
file is properly installed and can open it (only shows a splash
screen).

However, although I have added it under the general Add-In Manager
using the main Tools toolbar option, I can see no way to actually
start or implement it. Looking at a VBA module in design view, I can
see the Add-In option but nothing is in it.

Obviously I am missing something basic and have tried multiple Google
searches but cannot find a specific answer.

Any help is appreciated.

reinstall ADE

Alex,

Thanks for the response. I have already tried to re-install the ADE
numerous times and to numerous folders (after proper uninstall of
course). I am on a Windows 2000 Professional system with all the
latest SPs and patches. All I have done is open an MDB file and looked
for the P&D wizard under Add-Ins after opening a module in design
view.

Is there something else I should do/have done? Finally, I also have
the ODE tools for Access 97 installed in separate folders. I cannot
image that this could be an issue but these are Microsoft products.

Again, thanks for your help.

Hi John,
just tried to setup DE again - it added a new group
Microsoft Office Access 2003 Developer Extensions under start-program
files-microsoft office

and link to Package Wizard there

do you have that one?

Alex,

I reinstalled, it did add the group, and it seems to allow me to add
new templates, etc. My ignorance led me to beleive I could run this as
an add-in when I had opened an existing MDB file.

Thanks again
