Access '97 database splitter

I am trying to use the Database Splitter in Access '97
(with Windows NT 4.0) to create a backend to my
application.  Whenever I try to run it, however, I get a
Dr. Watson for Windows NT Errors with "Exception: access
violation (0x0000005), Address: 0x040026ec."

When I try to repair the database, I get the same error.  
When I try to create a new database and import the data, I
get the same error.  

I have narrowed it down to once bad table.  When I don't
include the table into the operations, it works fine.  Is
there a way to repair a single table?

Hello,

Try copying/pasting portion of records in the table into a new table. Also
try steps
