The Common dialog control in Access seems much more limited than in VB 6 - is this right ?

The Common dialog control in Access seems much more limited than in VB 6 -
is this right ? I need away of giving a client capcity to browse to a file
and pick it ( adding it as an attachement to outlook mail - from access

The code found at:  http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0001.htm  allows you
to return the full path and name of the selected file so that it can be
passed to the  .Attachments property of the MailItem.  Give it a try.
