Can't find ActiveX control

I recently developed an Access application and installed
it on a user's PC.  The problem I'm having is with one of
the forms that has a RichTextBox control on it.  When I
try to open the form, I get the following error:
Run-time error 2683, There is no object in this control

I assumed that it meant that it couldn't find the
RichTextBox ActiveX object.  When I looked under the
ActiveX controls available for Access on their PC, the
Microsoft RichTextBox was not available.

I thought that maybe their Office installation missed some
components so I inserted the Office 2000 CD to try to see
if that was the case.  Still no luck.

What am I missing?  Thank you in advance for your help in
resolving this problem.

to be sure that user have all controls you using in your application - you
have to distribute controls with your application

office developer setup wizard can help you

Do I need to purchase the Office 2000 Developer Software
package to do this?  I'm using Office 2000 Professional.

Thanks,
Al

In order to legally distribute the richtextbox, you must own Office
developer ... I'd recommend purchasing XP Developer. Also, there are several
issues with the richtextbox control (i.e. can't use it on reports, etc etc)
that could affect your app. I abandoned the richtextbox in favor of the
control from FMS, which is (so far) stable, and can be used on reports.
