I am unable to access Windows update and other
functions because my computer does not think I am
the administrator. How do I assign myself as administrator
when
       1. My computer does not seem to have Control
           Panel anymore.

       2. The entire login dialogue box does not show up
at start up. Even when I log in as administrator in
safe mode I can not access Windows update
             ect.

So How do I assign myself as administrator?

I have Windows XP Home Edition.

If anyone can help, I would sure appreciate it.

Thanks

This newsgroup is for questions about using ActiveX Cotnrols with Access,
the database product that's part of Office Professional.

You'd be best off reposting your question to a newsgroup related to Windows
XP.

Your computer has a trojan on it, suggest you update your antivirus and look
into PC Doctor antispyware.
