Hello

I'm building an Access DB which will be used by external staff and I want to
get data to and from them.  The easiest solution for me is FTP transfer, so
I'm looking for the best way to achieve this.

I did look at the 'InetTransferLib' module, but this doesn't appear to be
very 'user friendly' for a group of  largely very non technical staff  (the
whole database leads them by the hand - no standard record navigation,
'add', 'change', 'delete', 'save' buttons etc) and I'd ideally need some
screen form showing tansfer progress and status, including error reporting.

Which sort of leads me to ActiveX, I think.

There are *lots* of objects available for sale out there.  Does anyone have
experience of any, which can help me toward a more informed purchasing
decision ?

I know I *may* be letting myself in for advertising here (hopefully not
though), but it's worth a try.

Thanks a lot

Hi Mike,
Actually, if you are familiar with VBA - you can build whatever FTP transfer
you need using same API functions, if no - then you have to look at some
ActiveX control.
For simple upload - you can also consider using our free FTPUpload utility
at www.pointltd.com, which actually was build to assist non-experienced
users to upload files to us
