Good Day,

I have a database that once had an error referring to a 'Broken
reference' to an OCX file.  I then researched, and placed the appropriate
files in the correct locations.  Every two weeks or so, my database fails to
open and the error appears again. Why does this keep happening?  and now,
this time i cannot make it work again.  TIA

A couple of other thoughts.
1> The ActiveX control your using may have incorporated another party's OCX
control into it's design. The behavior of your control would then depend upon
how often you use that part of the control which is a separate control,
authored by another programmer. Another issue with this idea--what Dybenko
wrote concerning registration and OCX overwrites.
2> By chance, are you using a/the calendar control ? Regardless, if your
savvy enough rip that sucker out and put in something(s) new.
