I add an activex control to my form in design view, and i wanted to change
some of the properties. I clicked the "Customer" property, but get the
following error:
"The OLE Server isn't registered. To register the OLE server, reinstall it."
I get this error when doing the same with many of the activex controls
"shipped" with Microsoft access. I use Microsoft access 2003.
Any body know how to fix this error.

Which control? Are you sure you have the correct license to use it in Design
mode?

They are controls that I found on the activeX-object list for ex. Ctree View
or controls I downloaded from the internet for trial for ex. from Codejock
Software.

Not every control on the list can be used in Access. And, just because the
control shows up in the list doesn't mean that you have design time license
for it. Unless you have the Developer Edition of Access, you won't have
design and/or distribution rights to many of these controls. Note that if
you have other development environments (like VB6, VB.NET, etc) then there
may be controls which you DO have design license for, but won't work in
Access. Generally speaking, unless the control is specifically designed to
work in the Access environment, it's best to avoid it.

And, unless the controls you downloaded are designed to be used in Access,
you'll have trouble with them. The easiest way to tell is to search the
website of the control's developer for "compatibility" ... this will usually
tell you whether the control can be used in Access.
