I'm trying to use Microsoft Press' e book for SQL Server, which contains
compressed images of the application windows.  When you click on these
compressed images, another window pops up with a full size image.

However, when I click on the compressed image, IE6 only opens a blank
window, with a message in the title bar saying that IE has "restricted this
file from showing active content that could access your computer."

When I click on the title bar and select "Allow blocked content," the only
thing that happens is that the word "Loading ..." appears in the center of
the empty browser window, and remains there indefinitely.  I've waited up to
half an hour and "Loading . . . " remained on the screen.

In an effort to solve this problem, I also turned off the popup blocker in
my Google toolbar, and disabled Norton Internet Security and Norton
Anti-Virus AutoProtect, but to no avail.

Can anyone tell me what I can do to view the full size images of these
screen captures?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

I suggest asking in
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser
instead of an Outlook Express newsgroup.

Sorry - that was an oversight because of the ie6 in the newsgroup name.

I'd better wait a few days before going into ie6.browser because I might get
flamed for cross-posting the same question in two different threads.  In the
meantime, maybe I'll get lucky and someone from the ActiveX newsgroup will
be willing to answer my question.

Well, it's doubtful you'll get an answer in this group either, since it's
intended for questions about using ActiveX controls in Access, the database
product that's part of Office Professional.

Then my apologies for posting a question that doesn't belong in this group
either.
