MapPoint would do fine for North America while its counterpoint
AutoRoute would work for Europe. However how good a job it would do
for the world is another matter.
I'd suggest asking in the MapPoint newsgroup as they would have a
better idea.

Mappoint NA (NorthAmerica) is for North America
counterpart is
Mappoint Europe is for (mostly western) Europe

Non programmable products (less expensive):
Streets & Trips is for NorthAmerica
counterpart is
AutoRoute is for Europe

Be aware of the following problem when it comes to third party
controls.
Note that many ActiveX controls do not work inside MS Access unless
the vendor specifically states that they do support Access. In which
case they will likely also have sample code on their website. For
