Hi,
Hope someone can help me with some high level info or link to reference
material on this question.
I have an intranet page with a legacy OCX control object which is loaded
into it. The OCX control has a number of public methods which can be
called by other objects to make it do useful things.
I want to build an ActiveX object to be loaded onto the same page which
will have a user interface and also be able to call methods on existing
OCX object.
The question is, how do I reference the OCX object from my ActiveX object?
Things we can assume:
1. Both the legacy OCX object and the ActiveX object to be created will
be in the same frame within the browser.
2. ActiveX is backwards compatible with OCX (according to Microsoft).
3. I have basic information about the OCX object only - ie, its public
methods.
Hope someone can provide some feedback! Also, if there is a better
newsgroup to post this question into, please let me know.
Cheers,
Mark
PS. I would prefer public replies to the newsgroup, but if you want to
email me privatly, please remove "nospam" from the email address.
