Hi
I am trying to create an email and automtically send it using the Outlook
View Control in an Access 2003 form. The only thing I know is the
.NewMessage() method only opens a new Outlook message form and I can't see a
way to populate the To, Subject and Body and then send it.

Hi, Ian

I think you want to look at the SendObject method.  Take a look at the
following articles

161088 Using Automation to Send a Microsoft Outlook Message
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=161088

210309 ACC2000: SendObject Action Replaces Comma with Semicolon
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=210309

I'll see if I can find someone who knows more about this.

Thank you for choosing the MSDN Managed Newsgroups,

Hi John
Thanks for your reply. I can use the SendObject method or automate Outlook
directly but in both instances the Outlook Security warning pops up twice
(accessing and sending)which creates a hassle for the user of the
application. I have looked at Redemption but the application I am creating
is to help Community Kindergartens (and I am doing it for free to help them
to help the kids) but Redemption costs over $300 Australian. As the OVC is
already in the application I was hoping that by using it to send an email
seeing it is already open would bypass the Outlook Security Warning and as
the users will be parents at the kindergarten it would be much easier for
them to use and understand.

Hi Ian,

From your descriptions, I understood that you would like to eliminate
Security Warning in Outlook when you are trying to access it from Access.
Have I understood you? If there is anything I misunderstood, please feel
free to let me know :)

First of all, do you mean the pop-up dialog exactly like "A program is
trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want
to allow this? If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should
choose "No" "? If so, this function is new for Outlook 2002 (or later).
They are warning you that a program is trying to access e-mail addresses
you have stored in Outlook and asking if you want to allow this, and
another message like this is also used to take the effect that a program is
trying to send e-mail. This feature will protect you from unknowingly being
used by a virus that sends e-mail from your system. In a word, it is not
able to elimiated this security warning.

Secondly, the following KB show another scenraio that Add-In in Outlook
will also raise this issue

OL2002: Add-in or Custom Solution Causes a Warning to Appear (290498)
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=290498

I fully understood the complex it may cause, however, is it possible for
you to teach the parents at the kindergarten to try to learn to handle
under this kind of scenario?

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. If you have any questions or
concerns, don't hesitate to let me know. We are here to be of assistance!

Sincerely yours,

Mingqing Cheng

Hi Mingqing
Thankyou for your reply.

I have ended up using Redemption for Outlook - a great product that will
help in this case.
